Using this site
You may browse the site using the menu on the left or complete an orientation covering important information.
There is an orientation for new, admitted graduate students and one for prospective students.
Orientation for Admitted Students
If this is your first visit to the site, please take the time to go through the orientation in order. Start by following the link "Begin New Student Orientation" below, then continue through by clicking "Next" at the bottom of each page. This will give you a complete overview of what you need to do to be ready to start your degree here and some things to look out for after you have begun.

If you have been to the site before you can use the menus on the left of the page to skip to a particular section of interest.

Distance Education students
Look for this icon throughout the site. Wherever you see the icon there is information specific to your studies. Sometimes the information will differ slightly from the information for general graduate students, so read it carefully!

Student Disability Services
Student Disability Services (SDS) is a University of Northern Iowa resource that provides specialized services to enhance the overall academic, career, and personal development of each student with a disability.
