Sue Joseph
Interim Dean
I work closely with graduate coordinators from the 60+ graduate programs and the Graduate Council, as well as assist graduate students with progress, retention, and grievances. My job is to support and promote quality graduate education throughout the University, and to establish and foster a climate of excellence in scholarship, research, and graduate education. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from UNI (1981) in economics, and my Master of Arts degree from UNI (1987) in cardiac rehabilitation. My doctorate degree is in epidemiology from The University of Iowa (1991). I conduct research in breast cancer, focusing on racial differences in treatment, survival, molecular markers and tumor characteristics, and economic issues of cancer treatment. I have been a faculty member at UNI since 1990.
