Are You Planning to Take the GRE? 

Do you want to prepare for the Verbal and Quantitative sections of the test?

The Department of Academic Services offers short, non-credit courses for students preparing to take or retake the Graduate Record Exam (GRE). One section of each course has been scheduled for Summer 2007 and multiple sections in the Fall 2007 semester.

GRE-Verbal (Summer 2007)

October 23-November 15

GRE-Quantitative (Fall 2007)

These courses are free of charge for current UNI students. Others may enroll for a fee of $100 per course, if space is available. Kaplan’s practice test book, GRE Exam, is required as the assigned text. Any edition published 2005-2007 will be satisfactory.

Space is limited to keep classes small. You can register by visiting Academic Services at 007 ITTC, call 319/273-6023 during office hours, or register online (after May 10).

For official GRE information about this test, go to www.ets.org and choose GRE from the list. Then choose the General Test. All of the tabs on that page have information that will be very important to you as you prepare and register for the General Test of the GRE.

Note: Some graduate programs require candidates to earn a particular score on their Subject Test, as well. Be sure to investigate the requirements of the various graduate programs to which you are applying.
