Postsecondary Education: Student Affairs Students Liverpool Experience Summer 2005

This past summer four of my classmates and myself had the unique opportunity to work and live in Liverpool, England.  We worked with a program call AIMHIGHER through theUniversity of Liverpool.  The purpose of this program is to help students consider higher education as one of their options.  So we visited local schools and gave presentations about higher education and life in the U.S.  This program also picked 100 students and divided them into four groups.  Each group then had to make a thirty minute movie about making the right decisions in life.  I was very thankful that we were given very small roles in three of the four movies, which was a lot of fun.  We also had the opportunity to travel throughout the United Kingdom and mainland Europe.  The best part of my experience in England was the friends I made.  They helped make my experience a great one.  If you'd like to hear more about my experiences, please feel free to contact me.  --Ken Smith
