Lucas Martinez interned at Bertch Cabinet Manufacturing during the summer of 2005. He was involved in collecting and assessing data that detailed the generation and disposal of wood scrap. Lucas graduated with his Environmental Sciences MS degree last December from UNI, and was immediately hired by Bertch. He is now an Engineer for them.

Svetlana Korotkova interned at Omega Cabinetry during the summer of 2005. She helped increase the value and volume of recyclables in the production of custom wood cabinetry, as well as assessed the feasibility of solvent recycling and optimized the process used to catalyze enamel components. She was also helpful in conducting total yield analysis. Svetlana graduated with her Environmental Sciences MS degree from UNI last December, and is currently working on her Ph.D in Industrial Technology at UNI.
