I am David Addie Noye, an international student from Ghana . I am in the final year of my Doctor of Industrial Technology Degree program from the Department of Industrial Technology of the College of Natural Sciences , University of Northern Iowa . My first degree was in Mechanical Engineering from the Kwame University of Science and Technology, Kumasi , Ghana . My second degree was in Engineering Design from the Engineering Design Institute of the Loughborough University , Loughborough , United Kingdom . My total industrial experience before coming to pursue my doctoral program was about 12 years. My last job position was the Director of the Engineering and Industrial Design Center of the GRATIS Foundation in Tema , Ghana . During this passed summer, I had about two months of industrial experience in continuous process and quality improvement with the John Deere Engine Works in Waterloo . My career goal is to become a Professor in design and manufacturing with research interests in nanomanufactuirng especially production of carbon nanotubes, continuous process and quality improvement, and design of emerging mechanical and manufacturing systems. I like advising students on career options and how to prepare towards them. I also like establishing relationship between university and local industries for the benefit of students.
