I come from Tirana, Albania. I have a BA degree in Finance and Accounting, and Banking from University of Tirana, Albania, and a M.Sc. degree in Leisure and Environments from World Leisure and Recreation Association’s International Center of Excellence (WICE), at the University of Wageningen and Research Center, in the Netherlands. Now, I am a doctoral student majoring on Leisure and Community Services Management, in School of HPELS, University of Northern Iowa. In the area of economics and public policy, I have held a professional position as an expert in the Anti-trust Department, in the Ministry of Economy, Tirana, Albania. My specific teaching interests include courses related to tourism planning and management, sustainable tourism development, recreation and tourism research methods, community participation methods/models and finance. The main interest for my future researches is on measuring the economic impact of tourism and recreation activities, planning, public policy and management.
